Q - What makes the Janus Group series special?A - Growing up, I loved books like Ender's Game and the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan series. When I sat down to write the Janus Group books, I wanted to capture what I liked best about those books - sci fi thrillers or action thrillers in a fast-paced style. The series is best characterized as cyberpunk science fiction thrillers, with a little detective and police procedural elements thrown in to boot. Finally, I like my characters to be relatable, and facing overwhelming odds - the plot is action-packed, and keeps you guessing. Beware plot twists ahead!
Q - What order should I read the books in?
A - Last Pursuit is a short story set in the Janus Group world - it's the prequel, and the story that inspired me to write a full series. You can read that first (for free), then Books 1-3 (Rath's Deception, Rath's Gambit, and Rath's Reckoning) in order from there. Books 1-3 are a complete story arc - Book 3 resolves everything from Books 1 and 2. If you enjoyed those, you can read Rath's Trial (#4), Rath's Rebellion (#5), and Rath's Redemption (#6), as well - the second trilogy follows the same characters through a separate adventure.
Q - Why should readers give these books a try?
A - Because the Janus Group books are fast, inventive, page-turners that kick ass and take names! They've been described as "Jason Bourne" meets "Bladerunner." Any fans of hitman books, science fiction assassin tales, or cyberpunk thrillers will enjoy them.

There are times when it really ticks me off having to wait for something. Yeah I know totally immature, so after buying the latest & 5th addition to the Rath saga, went back and re-read the first 4 books leading up to here, to refresh the memory re names, places etc and now have to "wait" for the 6th episode. Not cool, so if you haven't read this series buy the first book and read it "slowly" so by the time you get through the next four episodes the 6th should be/will out. (Please Mr Platt we need the 6th one).Only a few authors manage to keep the interest up in an ongoing saga without deviating from the story line or using repetitive phases, comments or actions when they can't think of something, cheapening the characters and the readers attachment to the story. Pier Platt maintains this intensity for me and I hope it does likewise for other readers.

The story of the Janus Group continues in this wonderful book. I enjoyed this series immensely.
So far I have read the first four books and they continue to hold my interest which is not true of some other multi volume novels.

Well...what do you say to the continuation of a series that keeps bringing you so much joy to read?
I loved it! The progression of the storyline keeps you on the edge.
I went from the first to the final book as I could not stop this ride once I started.
A well-developed world woven with interesting characters in a flawlessly written, fascinating story I long to see on the screen.
I this fifth book of The Janus Group series, Rath finds himself allied with a revolutionary group intent on changing society. Unfortunately revolution is rarely a clean process. Great story! If you like cliffhanger endings, you'll love this one!
Not exactly sci-fi pulp fiction, but this series is a lot of fun. Rath fall out of one frying pan, only to find himself in a different frying pan. Poor guy trying to do the right thing and falls in with a group of revolutionaries that are going to try for round 2. Beauceron and Paisen are back too as one plot line after another leads all the players towards another cliffhanger ending.
Now to sit and wait for the next installment...

Its rare that I give a 5 Star rating. But Piers Platts books consistently get them from me!
Another winner from Mr. Platt. We're up to book 5 now! And here I thought we were over at book 3!!!
CrAzY! And just as good as the first book.
I can't even begin to describe the Janus Group Series if you haven't read any of them!
Although at this point I am not sure they're about the Janus Group anymore! Its more about Rath. And thats just fine!
We get Paison of course, and Beuceron. Of course they make up the books.
The books continue as Rath was rescued from being sent to death from his trial. The question is who, because it wasn't Paison. Can he stand behind the person or not.
